Staff Training Associate (Digital Marketing Focus)

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Staff Training Associate (Digital Marketing Focus) to support the ongoing training and development of our team.

This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone with an interest in — or some experience with — digital marketing. The primary objective of this role is to learn specific platforms, tactics, and systems (i.e., WordPress, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Sheets, etc.), then help transfer that knowledge to other team members through structured training sessions, documentation, and assessments.

You will work directly with leadership to support internal training initiatives, platform education, and skill development across the agency.

This is a part-time 1099 contractor role at a rate of $20/hour with strong learning and growth potential.

Minimum Requirements:

You don’t need to be a marketing or training expert on day one — we’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn at a growing agency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Strong interest in digital marketing and paid advertising
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (paid ads, analytics, funnels, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail — especially when working with data and documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills and a thoughtful approach to how you manage files, data, and deadlines
  • Ability to learn new platforms and systems quickly
  • Resourceful and curious — able to research and problem-solve independently using search engines or AI tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Available Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm ET

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, and Google Search Console
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana

Responsibilities / Role:

Learning & Skill Development

  • Receive hands-on training in various platforms and agency systems
  • Learn internal processes, SOPs, QA frameworks, and performance standards
  • Develop a working understanding of how campaigns are structured, tracked, reported on, and optimized
  • Build foundational knowledge that can be translated into internal training content

Internal Training & Knowledge Transfer

  • Assist in developing structured training materials (slide decks, SOPs, guides, etc.)
  • Assist in building assessments to reinforce team learning
  • Administer and track completion of internal assessments
  • Support onboarding of new team members and ongoing staff education

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Organize, maintain, and store internal training materials
  • Update training documentation as platforms and agency processes evolve
  • Assist leadership in identifying knowledge gaps across the team
  • Support the creation of repeatable, scalable internal training systems

Expectations:

  • Attention to Detail: You ensure all training materials, documentation, and assessments are accurate, current, and aligned with agency standards.
  • Organization: You maintain well-structured internal resources with consistent file naming, logical storage systems, and strong calendar management.
  • Responsiveness: You proactively support team members and respond to questions in a timely manner.
  • Resourcefulness: You proactively research updates, platform changes, and best practices.
  • Communication: You are personable and professional, able to break down complex marketing concepts into clear, practical explanations.
  • Adaptability: You adjust priorities as training needs evolve and remain flexible in a dynamic agency environment.
  • Growth Mindset: You actively seek feedback, embrace learning opportunities, and continuously develop your digital marketing knowledge and training skills.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $20/hour
  • Hours: Variable, typically 15-30 hours per week depending on training needs
  • Schedule: Flexible within standard business hours (9am to 5pm ET)
  • Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor
