Hours/Shifts: Full-Time, Mon-Fri, Weekend Availability

Key Responsibilities:

• Adequately staffing the facility’s nursing units by utilizing established procedures and policies.
• Collaborating with the Director of Nursing in proposing schedules for review before posting.
• Managing staff coverage for both scheduled and unscheduled absences.
• Coordinating with the HR/PR Coordinator to ensure accurate time records are maintained.
• Generating a master schedule, aligning staffing with budgeted hours per patient day and the designated staffing ratio.
• Assisting with clerical duties in the nursing department, including filing and making copies.
• Playing a role in scheduling new employees and promptly communicating scheduling/staffing changes to management.
• Assisting with fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Requirements:

• Strong typing and mathematics skills.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or providing care for residents.
• Sensitivity in understanding employees’ needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure staffing requirements are met.
• Ability to provide support and positivity to staff.
• Must hold a current certification as a CMT.
