Job Description

YRCI is seeking full-time Human Resources (HR) Staffing Specialists, Associate to support our HR Remote Operations Center (HRROC™), located in Reston, VA. YRCI’s HRROC™ is a Shared Service Center that supports multiple Federal agencies and offers a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to training from industry experts! Although the YRCI home office is located in Reston, VA, this position is fully remote.

The Staffing Specialist Associate provides direct administrative and operational support to the area Senior Staffing Specialist and area team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and organization of the area’s recruitment workload, handling intake processing, file management, data entry, and coordination tasks that keep the team’s pipeline moving. The Staffing Specialist Associate also contributes to staffing actions under supervision and is expected to grow toward full independent staffing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support area Senior Staffing Specialist and team with intake processing, data entry, file management, and workload coordination as directed.
  • Assist with the preparation and posting of job opportunity announcements on USAJobs.
  • Apply operational staffing experience to assist with job analyses in coordination with hiring managers.
  • Follow project-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for rating and ranking candidates.
  • Review documentation and assist with veterans’ preference adjudication prior to referral list preparation.
  • Assist with preparation of competitive, merit promotion, excepted service, and noncompetitive certificates and referral lists.
  • Provide written notifications to applicants at key touchpoints in the recruitment process and respond to applicant inquiries.
  • Assist with auditing returned certificates and sending disposition notices to non-selected candidates.
  • Maintain accurate examining case files, including job analysis documentation, in accordance with agency records retention schedules.
  • Update and maintain the area’s weekly intake tracking entries under direction of the Senior Staffing Specialist and Team Lead.
  • Utilize multiple automated staffing systems as required.
Job Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active OPM DE certification highly desired; USA Staffing Upgrade experience is desired.
  • As a condition of employment, you must be able to obtain and maintain an active Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) certification.
  • Two (2) years of recent experience working in a DEU environment, preferably in Federal staffing operations.
  • BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • Apply and interpret Federal HR laws, policies, and agency-specific operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, data quality, and data integrity.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of assignments in a production-based environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the government-required security clearance.
