Job Description Summary

The Stat & Tax Specialist will be responsible for driving tax processes and technical accounting compliance, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. This will include managing direct and indirect tax filings/audits and supporting statutory reporting and audit processes. This position will report to Turkey Stat & Tax Senior Manager and work closely with various teams to meet local compliance requirements. In this role you will use your experience and expertise to solve problems, execute objectives for self and others, and impact business goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support the finance operations team for accurate recording of all business transactions in ERP system according to the local GAAP rules for statutory reporting
• Managing all indirect tax related tasks of the Company (including preparation and submission of tax returns, VAT refund documentation, Tax accounts posting)
• Supports the management team on the tax related queries
• Supports on independent audit process
• Interact with local and internal advisors and tax regulation authorities
• Continuous follow-up for the new regulations and amendments in tax legislation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years of experience in finance/accounting
• University degree in business administration, economics or related fields
• Minimum of intermediate level proficiency in English is required
• Solid understanding of Turkish tax law is essential
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Desired Characteristics

• Having experience in audit firm is a plus
• Familiarity with Oracle software is considered an advantage
• Able to multitask, independent, proactive and willingness to learn
• Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines
• Demonstrated analytical abilities, problem solving & negotiation skills
• Strong communication and cooperation skills
