Why does the job exist?
This position serves as the State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant Manager, ensuring compliance with the Federal Grant and administrated through the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD), of the Health Care Authority (HCA).
The State Opioid Response Grant Manager will:
Ensure compliance with federal requirements;
Monitor grant expenditures and oversee Professional Services Contracts;
Provide Agreements and General Service Agreements;
This position may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities, as needed, to support broader division or agency operations in alignment with evolving workload demands and organizational priorities.
How does it get done?
The State Opioid Response Grant Manager is responsible for:
Overseeing daily grant activities to ensure grant objectives are fulfilled and grant funds are properly expended;
Preparing all required progress reports and data for the grantor;
Reporting to the Project Director;
Managing all grant funds, approving provider invoices and ensuring appropriate expenditure of the grant funds.

Minimum Qualification
Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Family Studies/Services, Social Sciences, or Human Services and one (1) year of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, and/or behavioral health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to VisualNideo Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
