Stationary Pump Operator

Position: Stationary Concrete Pump Operator

Industry: Ready-Mix / Construction

Experience Required: 3–5 Years

Location: Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate stationary concrete pumping equipment efficiently for safe and continuous concrete delivery.
• Set up pump, hoses, pipelines, and related equipment at job sites according to specifications.
• Monitor concrete flow, pump pressure, and system performance during operation.
• Connect and secure pipeline sections, including bends, reducers, couplings, and clamps.
• Ensure proper priming, pumping, and cleaning of pump lines after every operation.
• Troubleshoot blockages, line bursts, leaks, and pressure issues quickly and safely.
• Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on the pump and pipeline system.
• Coordinate with batching plant, mixer drivers, and site supervisors for smooth pumping operations.
• Maintain daily operational checklists, logbooks, and maintenance reports.
• Ensure safe operation while following company safety standards and site protocols.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, pumping pressure, and concrete characteristics.
• Able to read and follow site instructions and pumping sequences.
• Knowledge of pipe setups, line routing, and concrete mix limitations.
• Good physical stamina to handle and assemble pipelines.
• Ability to identify mechanical issues and report them immediately.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Stationary Pump Operator in a ready-mix or construction environment.
• Experience with major stationary pump brands (e.g., Putzmeister, Schwing, Sany).
• Should be able to handle long pipeline setups at high-rise or remote sites.
• Ability to work under pressure and in hot climates.
• Basic communication skills to coordinate with site teams.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
