Job Title: Statistical Officer
Job Purpose:
To receive, review, audit, and process statistical data received from various relevant entities; ensure its accuracy and consistency; follow up on data requests; and prepare statistical reports for publication and dissemination in accordance with approved regulations and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Statistical Data Requests Management

Receive statistical data requests from relevant entities and classify them according to priority and work requirements.

Follow up on data requests and ensure completion of all processing stages within the specified timelines.

Prepare periodic reports outlining the status of requests, level of progress, and any obstacles encountered, and submit them to the concerned authorities.

Ensure transmission of statistical data to requesting entities through available communication channels and receive required responses.
2. Data Review and Validation

Review, audit, and process statistical data and information received from field, administrative (registry), and electronic sources.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency with statistical data from previous years for the same indicators or phenomena.

Verify completion of data collection, coding, sorting, and tabulation in designated statistical tables and records.

Ensure data is reviewed after entry into computerized systems and verify accuracy of formatting and printing.

Confirm the accuracy and validity of statistical data and information after printing in preparation for publication and distribution.
3. Coordination and Follow-Up

Maintain continuous coordination with relevant entities to ensure timely provision of statistical data without delay.

Follow up with delayed entities or those that submit incomplete or inaccurate statistical data to ensure correction and completion.
4. Reporting and Dissemination

Prepare periodic statistical reports on completed work and activities, highlighting challenges encountered and proposing appropriate solutions.

Provide relevant entities with statistical reports, manuals, bulletins, booklets, and any requested statistical data or information as directed by the direct supervisor.
5. Documentation and Record Keeping

Maintain organized and indexed copies of reports, correspondence, studies, and other related documents to ensure easy retrieval when needed.
6. Other Duties

Perform any other tasks related to the nature of the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.
