STEAM Instructor (Elementary Grades)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic STEAM Lead Instructor to deliver pre-designed lessons to elementary grade students during the regular school day. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy guiding interactive projects, encouraging student participation, and maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach 4–6 weekly sessions (45–60 minutes each) using a provided curriculum.
• Deliver lessons in science, technology/coding, engineering builds, art projects, and math games.
• Keep students engaged through inquiry-based and hands-on activities.
• Maintain classroom structure, safety, and positive behavior expectations.
• Organize and prepare materials before each session and assist with cleanup afterward.
• Communicate attendance, progress, and updates with the Program Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience teaching or leading youth programs.
• Comfortable working with elementary grade students.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to deliver lessons with minimal preparation.
• Must complete fingerprinting and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with STEAM-focused activities or enrichment programs.
• Enthusiasm for encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in students.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
