Steel Fixer

Position Overview:

We are looking for skilled and experienced Steel Fixers with 3 to 5 years of experience in reinforcing steel work for construction projects. The ideal candidate must be capable of reading structural drawings, cutting and bending steel bars, and securely tying reinforcement as per specifications.

Accommodation and transportation are provided by the employer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).
• Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and mesh to reinforce concrete structures.
• Assemble steel reinforcement for beams, slabs, columns, walls, and foundations.
• Use hand and power tools to shape and secure steel.
• Ensure proper spacing and alignment of steel according to project requirements.
• Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to meet project standards.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Maintain tools and equipment used on site.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a steel fixer.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and BBS.
• Proficient in using steel cutting, bending, and tying tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• No disqualifying criminal history.
