Steel fixer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Steel Fixer to join our construction team in the UAE. The Steel Fixer will be responsible for cutting, bending, placing, and securing steel reinforcement bars (rebars) and mesh used in concrete structures, ensuring work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, bar bending schedules, and specifications.
• Cut, bend, and shape steel bars using hand tools and machines.
• Fix steel reinforcement for concrete structures such as slabs, columns, beams, foundations, and walls.
• Tie reinforcement bars securely using wire, clips, or welding where required.
• Position and secure steel bars, spacers, and chairs correctly before concrete pouring.
• Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and cover of reinforcement as per drawings.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers.
• Follow all site safety rules and regulations at all times.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Report any material shortages, defects, or safety issues to the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer in construction project.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Good knowledge of reinforcement fixing methods and tools.
• Physically fit and able to work challenging environments in site.
• Knowledge of basic construction safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
