Steel Fixer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fixer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for positioning, assembling, and securing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) for concrete structures according to project specifications and engineering drawings. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and plans
• Measure, cut, bend, and assemble steel reinforcement bars
• Secure rebar using wire ties and other fastening methods
• Place and fix reinforcement bars in position for concrete pouring
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with construction team to meet project deadlines
• Maintain and organize tools and materials

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar construction role
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety
• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

• Construction sites
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, heights, and heavy materials
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
