Steel fixer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Steel Fixer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for positioning and securing steel bars, mesh, and reinforcement frameworks to strengthen concrete structures on various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Cut, bend, and tie steel reinforcement bars (rebar)
• Assemble and fix steel reinforcement for beams, columns, slabs, and foundations
• Position and secure steel bars using wire, clips, or welds
• Ensure reinforcement is placed according to specifications
• Work closely with site supervisors and other trades
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer in construction
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Knowledge of reinforcement materials and methods
• Physical strength and stamina
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Valid safety certifications (if required locally)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on commercial or residential projects
• Basic knowledge of concrete placement procedures
• Familiarity with safety regulations and site compliance standards
