Job Summary
A Steel Furniture Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, welding, finishing, and repairing steel furniture products such as tables, chairs, cabinets, shelving units, workstations, and custom metal fixtures. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, operating fabrication machinery, and ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel materials using fabrication tools and machinery.
- Perform MIG, TIG, or arc welding on steel furniture components.
- Assemble furniture frames, structures, and metal fittings accurately.
- Operate equipment such as grinders, cutting machines, drills, press brakes, and welding machines.
- Smooth welds and prepare surfaces for painting, powder coating, or finishing.
- Inspect completed products for dimensional accuracy and structural quality.
- Repair damaged steel furniture and modify existing structures when required.
- Maintain tools, machinery, and a clean working environment.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with supervisors, designers, and installation teams as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in steel or metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication methods.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and measurements.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of steel materials and finishing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy materials.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in welding, fabrication, or metal works.
- Experience in furniture manufacturing or custom fabrication workshops.
- Welding certification is an advantage.
Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
