Steel Structural Designer

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for Project Structural Engineering and Supporting Design and research for the structural systems utilized in prefabricated construction activities. This is an important position that will require innovative design skills and a keen sense of technical detail coupled with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural designs and engineering calculations for prefabricated construction projects.
• Analyze and design hot-rolled steel and light gauge steel structures.
• Ensure structural designs comply with US Design Codes and industry standards.
• Utilize structural engineering finite element analysis software for modeling and analysis.
• Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams during project execution.
• Review technical drawings, reports, and calculations for accuracy and quality.
• Support research and development activities related to structural systems and construction methods.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior Structural and Architectural Designers.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports, presentations, and documentation for management.
• Work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in structural engineering/design.
• Hands-on experience with hot-rolled steel and light gauge steel projects.
• Strong understanding of hot/cold steel structural systems.
• Proficient knowledge of US Design Codes.
• Expertise in structural engineering finite element analysis software.
• Knowledge of calculation utility software will be preferred.
• Experience in FrameCAD or Vertex BD will be an added advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Leadership skills to manage junior design team members.

Job Type: On-site
Salary Range: 90,000 - 110,000

Work Location: In person

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs110,000.00 per month
