Steel Structure Draftsman

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Steel Structure Draftsman with strong knowledge in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD for structural steel and PEB projects. The candidate should be capable of preparing detailed fabrication and erection drawings, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and ensuring drawings are prepared as per project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and erection drawings for steel structure projects.
• Develop accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare shop drawings, assembly drawings, single part drawings, and material lists.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project engineers, and production departments.
• Review IFC drawings and prepare detailed drafting accordingly.
• Ensure drawings are issued within project timelines.
• Modify drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
• Prepare CNC and cutting files when required.
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation properly.
• Support site and production teams with technical drawing clarifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE/GCC experience in steel structure drafting.
• Strong knowledge in:
• Tekla Structures
• AutoCAD
• Structural Steel Detailing
• PEB Structures
• Fabrication Drawings
• Erection Drawings
• Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge in connection detailing and steel fabrication processes.
• Experience coordinating with fabrication and site teams.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
