Steel Structure Factory Production Engineers & Factory Foreman

1. Sales Executive (Steel Structure Projects)

Role purpose:
Bring in projects by finding clients, understanding their needs, and closing deals for steel structure fabrication/erection work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and approach potential clients (builders, contractors, industrial owners)
• Explain steel structure solutions (warehouses, factories, sheds, towers, etc.)
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and proposals
• Coordinate with design and production teams for technical inputs
• Negotiate prices, timelines, and contract terms
• Follow up on leads and maintain client relationships
• Track market trends and competitors

Skills Required:

• Communication and negotiation skills
• Basic understanding of steel structures and drawings
• Cost estimation knowledge
• Confidence in client meetings

Typical Background:

• Diploma / Degree (Engineering or Business preferred)
• Experience in construction or steel fabrication sales is a plus

2. Production Engineer (Steel Structure)

Role purpose:
Plan, control, and optimize fabrication work to ensure quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan daily and weekly production schedules
• Study fabrication drawings and material requirements
• Coordinate with purchase, stores, and quality teams
• Monitor cutting, welding, drilling, and assembly processes
• Ensure proper use of machines, manpower, and materials
• Maintain production records and reports
• Solve production delays and technical issues
• Ensure safety and quality standards are followed

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes
• Ability to read structural drawings
• Production planning and problem-solving
• Basic software skills (Excel, ERP, AutoCAD knowledge helpful)

Typical Background:

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Civil Engineering
• Experience in steel structure fabrication preferred

3. Factory Foreman (Steel Structure)

Role purpose:
Supervise shop-floor workers and ensure fabrication work is done correctly, safely, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise welders, fitters, cutters, and helpers
• Allocate daily work as per production plan
• Check fabrication accuracy as per drawings
• Ensure welding quality and dimensional accuracy
• Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping
• Report daily progress to Production Engineer
• Handle manpower and minor technical issues on-site

Skills Required:

• Hands-on experience in steel fabrication
• Ability to read fabrication drawings
• Leadership and team-handling skills
• Strong focus on safety and quality
