Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate STEM Teaching Assistant to join our educational team! In this role, you will support classroom teachers in delivering engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) lessons that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing hands-on STEM lessons aligned with curriculum standards
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, inclusive environment conducive to active learning
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring they participate fully in classroom activities
  • Help manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and transitions smoothly between activities
  • Foster effective communication with students, teachers, parents, and caregivers to support student progress and well-being
  • Contribute to curriculum development by suggesting innovative ideas for STEM projects and activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in classroom management
  • Experience with lesson planning for STEM subjects as well as literacy education and math instruction
  • Familiarity with working with children with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young learners, colleagues, and parents
  • Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool or elementary-aged students using Montessori or similar educational philosophies is a plus
  • Previous classroom experience involving behavior management techniques and working with diverse student populations
