STEM Teacher ( Part-Time)

<Responsibilities>

• Design engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across various STEM disciplines, including physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
• Deliver interactive lessons that incorporate modern learning technologies and hands-on laboratory activities to enhance student understanding.
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, projects, standardized tests, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Mentor students individually or in small groups to address diverse learning needs and foster academic confidence.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and extracurricular STEM initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student achievements in accordance with school policies.
• Coach and support colleagues on how to integrate STEM
• Lead & support school 's Cognia STEM re-certification process.

<Skills>

• Strong knowledge of STEM subjects such as trigonometry, geometry, calculus, algebra, differential equations, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, and discrete math.
• Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design tailored to diverse student populations.
• Laboratory experience including dissection techniques and research laboratory practices; familiarity with scientific research methods.
• Excellent classroom management skills coupled with effective communication skills for working with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
• Proficiency in integrating learning technology tools into lesson plans for enhanced engagement and understanding.
• Ability to prepare students for standardized testing through targeted tutoring and review sessions.
• Experience in higher education teaching or private school environments is preferred; familiarity with special education strategies is a plus.

Pay: $24.93 - $30.02 per hour
