Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate STEM Teacher/Coordinator to lead our science, technology, engineering, and math programs. This role involves delivering engaging instruction across various STEM disciplines, developing innovative curricula, and coordinating extracurricular STEM activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, extensive subject matter expertise, and a commitment to nurturing young learners’ curiosity and critical thinking abilities.

Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive STEM curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse student needs
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments and engineering design
  • Manage classroom environments effectively to promote positive behavior and active student participation
  • Mentor students through tutoring sessions and academic advising to support their individual learning goals
  • Coordinate extracurricular STEM clubs and competitions to foster student engagement outside regular class hours
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, assessment strategies including standardized testing preparation, and integration of library services for research projects
  • Maintain and develop community partnerships to support STEM programming

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related STEM field; advanced degrees preferred
  • Proven experience teaching science or mathematics at the elementary or middle school level
  • Strong knowledge of STEM subjects including biology, astronomy, robotics
  • Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Familiarity with learning technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and administration
  • Ability to mentor students academically and support their social-emotional growth through educational advising

Pay: $50,150.00 - $83,112.00 per year
