Sterile Processing Technician

PAY: $25/hr

WorkFit Medical Staffing is currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures by maintaining the sterility and readiness of surgical instruments and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and best practices
• Inspect and test sterilization processes to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Manage the inventory of surgical supplies and instruments, ensuring adequate stock and timely reordering
• Identify and document any discrepancies or issues involving sterilization processes
• Assist in training new staff on sterile processing techniques and department protocols
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to facilitate efficient instrument turnover for procedures
  
  

Work Environment:

• Flexible shifts available based on departmental needs, including weekends and holidays
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• MUST LIVE 30+ MILES AWAY FROM ROCHESTER
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Sterile Processing REQUIRED
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads as necessary and be on your feet for extended periods
