Dental Assistant/CDA/EFDA

About the Position:
This is a rotating position working alongside two other amazing assistants. You’ll be involved in all aspects of dental assisting, including:

• Chairside assistance for pediatric dental procedures
• Sterilization and infection control (you’ll also rotate as a sterilization tech)
• Taking x-rays, digital impressions, and charting
• Providing a calm and comforting presence for our young patients
• Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment

• A friendly, flexible, and reliable team player
• CDA or EFDA certification is a plus – but we are happy to train the right candidate who has some experience
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance for pediatric dental procedures
• Helping children feel comfortable and safe during their visit
• Explaining dental procedures in kid-friendly language
• Taking pediatric dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Sterilization and infection control (including rotation as a sterilization tech)
• Educating parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-op care
• Assisting with behavior management techniques appropriate for children
• Taking impressions, charting, and assisting with restorative and preventive procedures
• Maintaining a clean, child-friendly, and organized clinical environment

Requirements

• CDA certificate or EFDA license (preferred but not required)
• Radiology license
• CPR certification
• Pediatric experience preferred

We are a fast paced but FUN pediatric dental office who enjoys working hard and playing harder. We have 3 annual staff outings during work hours, plus an annual holiday party, discretionary bonuses and lots of staff appreciation!

• This position would also include the potential of assisting the dentist in our NEW Dental Surgery Center located directly across the hallway from our office.

Office hours are Monday-Thursday 730AM-4PM
