Summary The Sterilization Technician prepares, sterilizes, installs and cleans laboratory or healthcare equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Cleans and sterilizes all instruments, operatories and areas that were used in procedures during the day
• Acts as support staff to the RDAs and DAs
• Assists dentists by providing instruments during surgery and using suction to clear the patients mouth
  
  
  

Education and/or Experience

• Valid Infections Control Certificate OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience

• Infection Control Certification
• BLS Certification
