  • Supervise stewarding staff during assigned shifts
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure proper completion
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, dishwashing areas, storage rooms, and equipment
  • Ensure correct use and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Enforce food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Monitor dishwashing operations to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Support kitchen and service teams during peak periods
  • Train new stewarding team members and coach existing staff
  • Report maintenance issues, shortages, or safety concerns to management
  • Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures
  • Complete basic shift reports and handovers

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen operations
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and handle manual tasks
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
