Stewarding Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Stewarding Supervisor to lead our food service cleanliness and operational standards. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily functions of the stewarding team, ensuring that all kitchen and dining areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily stewarding operations, including cleaning schedules, food preparation support, and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure all food handling and storage practices comply with health and safety regulations
  • Oversee dishwashing, utensil cleaning, and kitchen sanitation processes to maintain a spotless environment
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients for catering or banquet events
  • Support banquet and catering setups by organizing supplies, serving areas, and ensuring timely delivery of food items
  • Train and mentor stewarding staff on proper cleaning techniques, food safety protocols, and customer service standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas to uphold cleanliness, safety standards, and operational efficiency

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service, catering, or hospitality environments with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation
  • Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen operations, and restaurant or hotel experience
  • Ability to perform basic cooking and food preparation tasks with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with bussing duties, serving techniques, and banquet setup processes
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage cleaning schedules and support multiple event setups
  • Effective communication skills for training team members and coordinating with kitchen staff
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and perform manual cleaning tasks efficiently
