Stock Receiver (FMCG)

Job Summary:

The Stock Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, and recording incoming goods from suppliers and distribution centers. The role ensures that all deliveries match purchase orders, meet quality standards, and are accurately entered into the inventory system while maintaining FIFO/FEFO compliance and proper storage practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive all incoming stock from suppliers and warehouse deliveries.
• Verify received items against Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, and delivery challans.
• Count, inspect, and confirm product quantity, quality, batch numbers, expiry dates, and packaging condition.
• Report shortages, excess stock, damaged, or expired products immediately to the Inventory Manager.
• Ensure all received stock is entered accurately into the inventory/ERP system.
• Label products correctly and arrange stock according to FIFO/FEFO standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse and store teams for timely stock placement.
• Maintain proper documentation of Goods Received Notes (GRNs), supplier invoices, and delivery records.
• Ensure cold-chain products are received and stored within the required temperature range.
• Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist during stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Follow company SOPs, hygiene standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to resolve delivery discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in stock receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management within the FMCG or retail industry.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Good knowledge of FIFO/FEFO and inventory control practices.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
