Stocker / Cashier

Duties

• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive and accessible store layout
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for customer transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offering product demos and upselling when appropriate to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain proper merchandising standards by arranging products neatly and replenishing stock as needed
• Ensure the store remains clean, safe, and welcoming by performing routine stocking and cleaning tasks
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through their purchases
• Use strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth store operations

Experience

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar retail environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings and managing daily store activities
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is essential for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service orientation are key to success in this role
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling techniques, and grocery store operations will help you excel
• Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and retail calculations
