The Stockkeeper will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. The role requires proficiency with basic computer software and the ability to operate a computer for inventory management and record-keeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods; ensure accurate inventory levels and manage stock to avoid overstock or shortages.
- Process and prepare orders for distribution, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computer software; conduct regular audits to verify stock levels.
- Keep the store and storage areas clean, organized, and secure; implement effective inventory management systems.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to shipments, product quality, or returns.
- Provide support and information to internal teams or external partners as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in inventory management or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to operate a computer for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed.
