Store Associate

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product inquiries and checkout processes
• Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing stockrooms, and conducting regular inventory counts using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
• Operate equipment such as pallet jack, and other material handling tools to load, unload, and transport merchandise safely
• Conduct shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of products and accurate documentation of inbound and outbound shipments
• Maintain store cleanliness by performing routine cleaning duties, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is tidy and inviting
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays, pricing products accurately, and ensuring proper signage is in place
• Provide excellent customer service through the checkout process to ensure a positive customer experience throughout their visit.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and stock control processes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or unloading activities
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Retail sales experience combined with customer service expertise to engage shoppers effectively
• Knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing, discounts, and transaction handling at the cashier station
• Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail environments is advantageous for understanding store workflows
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
