Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales accurately and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offer upselling opportunities, and conduct product demonstrations to boost sales
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Manage inventory by receiving shipments, organizing stock, and conducting regular stock counts
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering inquiries and directing calls professionally
• Support team members with supervising tasks when needed and contribute to a positive team environment

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings and general customer interactions
• Ability to perform basic math for transactions and retail math for inventory management
• Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Capable of conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and retail sales best practices
• Demonstrates professionalism with phone etiquette and effective communication skills

Job Type: Part-time
