Job summary

The Store & Dispatch Executive is responsible for end-to-end warehouse operations for spices, covering inward (GRN), storage, inventory control, outward, and dispatch activities. The role ensures accurate stock handling, timely and error-free dispatches, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in coordination with the Store & Dispatch Head and other departments.​

Key responsibilities

  • Handle all inward activities including unloading, physical verification, quality/quantity checking, GRN preparation, proper labeling, and systematic storage with FIFO/FEFO.​
  • Manage outward activities such as order picking, packing, batch/expiry verification, and staging of materials for dispatch as per sale orders and dispatch plans.​
  • Execute daily dispatch operations: vehicle-wise loading, seal confirmation, coordination with transporters/drivers, and basic tracking till material reaches customer or depot.​
  • Prepare and check dispatch-related documents (delivery challan, invoice reference, e-way bill details, LR copy, gate pass, etc.) to avoid shortages, wrong dispatches, or documentation errors.​
  • Update all inward/outward and dispatch transactions in ERP/Excel, maintain item-, batch- and location-wise stock, and support periodic stock counts and reconciliation.​
  • Maintain warehouse hygiene and pest control for spices, ensure compliance with food safety norms, stacking standards, and safe operation of material handling equipment.​

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum Graduate; Diploma in Warehouse/Logistics/Supply Chain preferred.​
  • 2–4 years’ experience in FMCG / food industry warehouse operations with hands-on exposure to inward, outward, and dispatch, preferably in spices or similar SKU-intensive products.​

Skills and competencies

  • Working knowledge of dispatch processes and basic documents (DC, LR, e-way bill support, etc.) and familiarity with GST-related dispatch requirements.​
  • Basic proficiency in ERP/inventory software and MS Excel, strong numerical accuracy, and record-keeping discipline.​
  • Physically fit, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple dispatches in a day, and willing to work in a fast-paced FMCG warehouse environment.​
