The Store Incharge will be responsible for managing construction material stores at project sites, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials in line with project requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the construction store at site
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials as per PO and delivery challans
- Ensure proper storage, stacking, tagging, and safety of materials
- Issue materials to site engineers/contractors as per approved indent
- Maintain accurate stock records (inward, outward, balance) manually and/or in ERP
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with records
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and Site teams for material planning
- Prepare material consumption reports, stock statements, and variance reports
- Handle returnable/non-returnable materials and scrap management
- Ensure compliance with safety norms and company SOPs
- Prevent material loss, damage, or pilferage at site
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / Graduate (any discipline preferred)
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience as Store Incharge in construction / real estate projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, fittings, MEP items, etc.)
- Experience in ERP/software-based inventory management (SAP/other ERP preferred)
- Good documentation, reporting, and coordination skills
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email)
