Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure safe storage and proper handling of construction materials.
Material Handling
- Issue materials to site engineers, supervisors, and contractors as per requisitions.
- Monitor usage to prevent wastage and pilferage.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment of stock.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, and material return records.
- Update ERP/software systems with inventory data.
Coordination
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and vendors for material requirements.
- Support procurement team in vendor evaluation and material quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Store Operations
- Supervise store staff and laborers.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the store premises.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) method for perishable or time-sensitive materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in store/inventory management, preferably in construction or real estate.
- Knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, tiles, electricals, plumbing, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
