The Store Keeper is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory, receiving and issuing materials, and ensuring the accuracy of stock records. The role ensures smooth warehouse operations, proper storage of materials, and timely availability of supplies for projects or operations.
Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, goods, and equipment.
· Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.
· Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
· Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of items.
Material Handling & Issuance
· Issue materials to departments, projects, or production teams as per requisitions.
· Monitor stock levels and request replenishment when necessary.
· Maintain proper handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
· Assist in loading/unloading and transportation of goods within the facility.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain logs of material movements, returns, and damaged items.
· Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly stock reports for management.
· Support audits and inventory verification processes.
· Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies.
Safety & Compliance
· Follow warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
· Ensure proper use of storage equipment, including forklifts or pallet jacks.
· Comply with company regulations regarding inventory control and safety standards.
Skills & Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Inventory Clerk, or similar role.
· Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
· Ability to handle stock physically and maintain organized storage.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting (MS Office, ERP systems preferred).
· Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
· Good communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
· 2–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse, stores, or inventory management.
· Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
