Store keeper

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all stock, including lighting fixtures, control systems, cables, and smart devices.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper labeling and categorization of items (e.g., by project, brand, or product type).

2. Receiving & Inspection

  • Receive deliveries and verify items against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect products for damages, defects, or missing components.
  • Ensure proper documentation and system entry of all incoming goods.

3. Storage & Organization

  • Store items safely and systematically, considering product sensitivity (fragile lighting fixtures, electronic devices, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
  • Implement proper storage practices to avoid damage, dust, or moisture exposure.

4. Issuance & Dispatch

  • Prepare and release materials for projects, sales orders, or installations.
  • Coordinate with the sales and technical teams for timely dispatch.
  • Ensure all issued items are properly recorded and acknowledged.

5. System & Documentation

  • Update inventory in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo or similar).
  • Maintain proper filing of delivery notes, invoices, and stock movement records.
  • Generate stock reports as required by management.

6. Coordination & Support

  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and project teams to ensure stock availability.
  • Assist in project material preparation and packing.
  • Support warehouse activities such as barcoding and system implementation.

7. Health & Safety Compliance

  • Follow company safety procedures in handling and storing goods.
  • Ensure safe use of equipment and proper handling of fragile and electrical items.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Assistant (preferably in lighting, electrical, or smart home solutions).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (ERP experience is an advantage).
  • Basic knowledge of lighting products, electrical items, or smart home technologies is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physically fit and able to handle warehouse operations.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with barcoding systems and stock audits.
  • Knowledge of brands and components related to lighting and smart automation.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: KD250.000 - KD300.000 per month
