Job Title: Store Keeper
Location: Gold Mining Project Site, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary
The Store Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, tools, spare parts, safety items, and consumables required for gold mining operations. The role ensures proper stock control, accurate record keeping, safe storage practices, and timely issuance of materials to support uninterrupted site activities. The Store Keeper must also be able to communicate effectively in English with supervisors, vendors, and site departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, spare parts, tools, PPE, fuel-related items, and consumables as per delivery documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect delivered items for quantity, quality, and condition before acceptance.
- Arrange proper storage of materials in designated locations according to company procedures and safety requirements.
- Issue materials only against approved store requests, material requisitions, or authorized documents.
- Maintain accurate stock records manually and/or in inventory management systems.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks and assist in periodic inventory audits.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report shortages, slow-moving items, and critical stock requirements.
- Label and identify all materials properly to avoid loss, damage, or incorrect issuance.
- Keep the warehouse/store clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous, flammable, fragile, and high-value items in line with HSE standards.
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and site operations teams for material availability and replenishment.
- Prepare stock reports, goods receipt notes, issue vouchers, bin cards, and other store-related documentation.
- Assist in tracking tools, equipment, and spare parts issued to departments or site personnel.
- Support year-end and periodic inventory verification activities.
- Report damaged, expired, excess, or obsolete stock to management.
- Follow company policies, site rules, and Saudi safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or secondary school certificate; additional certification in stores, warehouse, or inventory management is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
- Experience in mining, construction, heavy equipment, industrial, or oil & gas projects is preferred.
- Experience handling mechanical spare parts, electrical items, tools, PPE, lubricants, and site consumables is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Good knowledge of storekeeping, inventory control, and material handling procedures.
- Ability to maintain stock registers, bin cards, and inventory records accurately.
- Basic knowledge of spare parts, tools, maintenance materials, and mining site consumables.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory software, or MS Excel is preferred.
- Good organizational and housekeeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock transactions.
- Ability to work under pressure in remote mining site conditions.
- Honest, dependable, and disciplined approach to material control.
English Communication Requirement
- Must have good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to read delivery notes, invoices, purchase orders, material requests, and stock reports in English.
- Able to communicate with supervisors, procurement teams, vendors, and multinational site staff in English.
- Basic Arabic speaking ability is an added advantage.
HSE Responsibilities
- Comply with all company HSE policies and mining site safety procedures.
- Use proper PPE while handling and issuing materials.
- Ensure safe stacking, storage, and housekeeping inside the warehouse/store.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged racks, spills, or incidents.
- Support safe storage of chemicals, lubricants, and hazardous materials where applicable.
Working Conditions
- Based at a remote gold mining project site in Saudi Arabia.
- May work extended hours, shifts, or rotation schedules depending on project needs.
- Work involves warehouse operations, material lifting supervision, stock inspections, and outdoor coordination when required.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Mining or heavy industry storekeeping experience.
- Familiar with spare parts for generators, pumps, drilling equipment, crushers, vehicles, and heavy machinery.
- Good English communication and reporting ability.
- Able to work independently in site-based camp environments.
