The Store Manager is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and recordkeeping of all construction materials, tools, consumables, and equipment. The role ensures that project sites receive the required materials on time, inventory records are accurate, and all store operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Material Management

  • Oversee all activities related to receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking construction materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely availability of materials based on project requirements.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO and proper material preservation procedures.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile with ERP system records. Receiving & Documentation
  • Receive materials in accordance with Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes.
  • Coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams to ensure material compliance with specifications. • Prepare and update Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Vouchers, and other required documents.
  • Flag discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials and coordinate corrective actions. Issuance & Distribution
  • Issue materials, consumables, and equipment based on approved Material Requisition Forms (MRFs).
  • Maintain accurate logs of all material movement for cost control and audit purposes.
  • Track tools and returnable items to minimize loss or misuse. Store Operations & Facility Management
  • Organize the store to ensure safe, efficient, and accessible material handling.
  • Maintain proper labeling, segregation, storage racks, and housekeeping.
  • Oversee material handling equipment and coordinate maintenance when needed. Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Finance to align material planning with project schedules.
  • Provide daily and weekly inventory reports to management.
  • Monitor material consumption trends and proactively forecast stock requirements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and safety regulations.
  • Implement loss-prevention measures and secure high-value materials.
  • Promote best practices for handling hazardous materials and ensure availability of PPE.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or Civil

Engineering.

  • Certification in Warehouse Management, Inventory Control, or Material Management preferred.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management.
  • Minimum 3 years within the construction or civil engineering industry.
  • Experience working with construction materials (rebar, concrete, MEP items, finishing materials,

scaffolding, etc.).

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or construction ERP).
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and specifications.
  • Excellent MS Excel and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with barcode or RFID-based inventory systems is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Store Management: 3 years (Preferred)
