Job Summary

The Stores & Purchase Executive is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of materials, maintaining accurate records, and supporting cost-effective purchasing operations in compliance with company policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesStores Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Maintain proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
  • Issue materials to production and other departments as per authorized requisitions.
  • Maintain accurate stock records in ERP / manual registers.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical stock with records.
  • Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices are followed.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in the store.

Purchase Responsibilities

  • Prepare purchase requisitions based on requirements from departments and inventory levels.
  • Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and support vendor evaluation.
  • Issue purchase orders after obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.
  • Maintain vendor records and purchase documentation.

  • Knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes.

  • Inventory accuracy and stock availability
  • Timely procurement and material delivery
  • Cost savings and vendor performance
  • Compliance with audit and documentation requirements
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Tally / SAP / Oracle preferred).
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Stores & Purchase functions (manufacturing preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
