Job Description – Store Keeper

Role Summary

The Store Keeper will be responsible for receiving, recording, storing, and issuing materials, tools, and equipment required for projects. He will maintain accurate stock records, ensure proper handling of materials, and support project execution by timely availability of resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Management
• Receive incoming materials, verify quantity and quality against Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans.
• Issue materials to site teams based on approved requisitions.
• Maintain stock levels to avoid shortages at site.
• Documentation & Records
• Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Material Issue Note, and Stock Register.
• Update ERP/Excel sheets daily for stock in/out.
• Tag and label all items properly.
• Inventory Control
• Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with records.
• Report material shortages, excesses, or damages immediately.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) method for consumables.
• Coordination
• Coordinate with Purchase/Procurement for timely replenishment.
• Assist Project/Site Engineer in material planning for ongoing works.
• Support Accounts/Finance for audit requirements.
• Housekeeping & Safety
• Ensure proper storage conditions (safe, dry, secure).
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the store.
• Comply with safety protocols, especially for fire safety equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum Graduate / Diploma; ITI background preferred.
• 2–5 years’ experience in store/inventory management (preferably in construction, MEP, or fire safety industry).
• Knowledge of MS Excel, stock management software, or ERP.
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with fire safety, electrical, or MEP materials will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹10,715.03 - ₹35,618.97 per month
