Job Title: Store Keeper

Company Introduction:

We are a leading EPC contracting company in Saudi Arabia, specializing in the construction of large-scale high voltage (HV) and extra-high voltage (BHV) substations, overhead lines, power plants, water treatment plants, water pipelines, and industrial plant projects. Effective materials management is crucial to our operations, and we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Store Keeper to oversee the efficient handling and storage of materials at our Riyadh location.

Position Overview:

The Material Store Keeper will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies required for the company’s EPC projects. This role ensures proper inventory management, adherence to safety standards, and accurate record-keeping to support project timelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, inventory management, and familiarity with the construction or EPC industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling and Storage:

  • Receive, inspect, and store materials and supplies according to project requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure materials are stored in an organized, secure, and accessible manner to prevent damage or loss.
  • Maintain proper labeling and categorization of materials for easy identification and retrieval.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records and timely replenishment of materials.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks and reconcile with system records to ensure accuracy.
  • Report discrepancies or shortages to the procurement or project management team promptly.

Issuance of Materials:

  • Coordinate with project teams to issue materials as per approved requests and project schedules.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of materials issued to various project sites or departments.
  • Manage the return of unused or surplus materials and update inventory records accordingly.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
  • Generate periodic inventory and material usage reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for material management.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all materials are stored and handled in compliance with safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the storage area to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Adhere to environmental and health safety standards for hazardous materials, if applicable.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with the procurement, logistics, and project teams to ensure smooth material flow and availability.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and transporters to coordinate material deliveries.
  • Address any issues related to material handling or storage promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or supply chain are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material handling, inventory control, or storekeeping, preferably within the EPC or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with materials used in construction or engineering projects is an advantage.

Key Skills:

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems or software (e.g., ERP, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and maintaining records.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols for material storage and handling.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
