The Storekeeper is responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling all materials, tools, and equipment related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works. The role ensures accurate stock levels, timely material issuance, and proper documentation to support smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming MEP materials and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and protection of MEP items (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly in the system.
- Prepare and issue materials as per site requirements and approved material requests.
- Coordinate with the procurement and site teams regarding material availability and delivery schedules.
- Conduct periodic stock checks and prepare inventory reports.
- Maintain proper labeling and identification of stored materials.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and housekeeping standards in the store area.
- Monitor material consumption and report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Assist in organizing the store layout for efficient access and control.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Storekeeping, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience as Storekeeper in MEP or construction industry in Qatar.
- Knowledge of MEP materials and tools.
- Proficient in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
