Position Overview:

As a Storekeeper, you play a important role in ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing operations by efficiently management the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and spare parts. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, preventing stock discrepancies, and upholding safety and compliance standards in material handling. Your meticulous attention to details and proactive coordination with various departments are essential for sustaining operational efficiency and supporting maintenance activities.

Competencies:

Inventory Accuracy and Control: proficient in maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure optimal stocks levels

Interdepartmental Coordination: effective communication skills to liaise with production, maintenance, and procurement teams, ensuring timely availability of materials and parts

Vendor Communication: ability to interact with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and ensure timely replenishment of stock

Attention to Details: strong focus on accuracy in receiving, inspecting, and recording inventory transactions to prevent errors and maintain data integrity

Computer Proficiency: skilled in using inventory management software and basic office applications (e.g. Excel, Word) for efficient record-keeping and reporting

Safety Compliance: knowledgeable in safety regulations and procedures for handling and storing materials, including hazardous substances, to maintain a safe work environment

Skills:

• Clerical and Inventory Management, experienced in data entry, administrative record-keeping, and managing inventory documentation
• Basic accounting and purchasing, understanding of purchasing processes and basic accounting principles related to inventory management
• Organization skills, ability to maintain an organized storeroom, ensuring materials are stored systematically for easy retrieval and efficient space utilization
• Material Handling Equipment Operation, certified and competent in operation forklifts and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Physical Stamina, capable of lifting and moving heavy items and working in environments with varying noise levels, dust and temperature fluctuations

Accountabilities:

• Receiving and Inspection, verify the accuracy of incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and report any issues promptly
• Inventory Maintenance, maintain accurate inventory records, organize and store items systematically, and update inventory systems regularly
• Cycle Counting and Audits, conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile inventory records, and participate in audits to ensure inventory accuracy
• Material Availability, ensure timely availability of materials by coordination with relevant departments and resolving any delivery issues
• Safety and Compliance, store materials safely, maintain a clean storeroom, and ensure all materials are stored accordioning to company policies and regulatory standards
• Inventory Level Management, define and control minimum and maximum inventory levels for materials and parts based on historical usage data, tead times, and production requirements. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, adjusting reorder points as necessary to align with operational demands

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3+ Years in inventory management, receiving operations or related field
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Forklift Operation certifications and familiarity with safety regulations for handling hazardous materials are plus
• Computers skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation & Benefits

• 
  Hiring Salary Range: $33.17/hr
• This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
