The Store Keeper is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing food, beverages, equipment, linens, and other hotel supplies. The role ensures accurate inventory control, proper documentation, and timely distribution to various hotel departments while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hotel policies.

Key Responsibilities1. Receiving & Inspection

  • Receive and inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, and specifications.
  • Verify items against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Reject damaged or incorrect items and report discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager.

2. Storage & Organization

  • Properly label, store, and arrange items in designated areas.
  • Ensure storage conditions meet food safety and hygiene standards (FIFO/FEFO principles).
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all storage areas.

3. Issuing & Distribution

  • Issue materials to kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments as requested.
  • Prepare issue vouchers and ensure proper authorization.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure timely supply of required items.

4. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory records regularly.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
  • Monitor stock expiry dates and ensure timely usage of perishable goods.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of receipts, issues, and stock movements.
  • Input data into the hotel inventory software/system.
  • Prepare stock reports for management.

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Follow hotel policies for procurement and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
  • Identify and report potential risks or safety hazards.
