Storekeeper (Events & Exhibition Industry Only)

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Store Keeper to manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of materials, tools, and equipment used in events, exhibitions, and fit-out projects. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely material availability, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

1. Store Operations & Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of all stock items.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Manage stock aging to reduce waste and obsolete materials.

2. Receiving, Issuance & Dispatch

  • Receive and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Inspect received items for quantity, quality, and condition.
  • Record all inward and outward stock movements accurately.
  • Issue materials to production, installation, and site teams as per approved requests.
  • Coordinate dispatch of materials to project sites and event venues.

3. Internal Coordination & Project Support

  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Installation teams.
  • Support urgent material requirements for live projects and site works.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials for events, exhibitions, and installations.
  • Assist project teams with material identification and availability confirmation.

4. Quality Control & Material Handling

  • Ensure correct handling, stacking, and storage of materials to avoid damage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and warehouse areas.
  • Segregate damaged, surplus, or non-usable materials and report accordingly.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles where applicable.

5. Document Control & Reporting

  • Maintain stock registers, bin cards, and digital inventory records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports as required.
  • Track material consumption by project or department.
  • Report shortages, excess stock, discrepancies, or damages to management.

6. Tools, Systems & Technology

  • Use inventory management or stock control systems where applicable.
  • Operate barcode scanners and basic warehouse tools.
  • Maintain records using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of store-related records.

7. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

  • Follow health, safety, and fire regulations within the store and warehouse.
  • Ensure safe storage of hazardous or heavy materials.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and UAE safety standards.
  • Support audits and inspections related to store operations.

Professional Skills

  • Strong stock control and inventory handling skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize and manage store operations efficiently

Technical Skills

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems)
  • Knowledge of materials used in exhibitions, fit-out, and production
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and documentation
