The primary purpose of this position is the management of the storeroom for the Waterway(primary) and Chicago Heights locations. Responsibilities include overseeing the site’s MRO Inventory Management Process; monitoring inventory and coordinating purchasing activities; ensuring compliance with regulations, serving as a liaison for external auditors, and coordinating internal inventory audits; maintaining an adequate inventory of materials, parts, tools, and supplies used in maintenance; and support all site departments and corporate projects.

Oversee and participate in the use of the Company’s Inventory Management System (JD Edwards/E-1); evaluate and monitor inventory control of stock, research and identify issues, and make recommendations to ensure sufficient supply of MRO materials

Oversee ordering, receiving, and maintaining materials

Oversee supplies and supplier services (adequate supplies and stock at set levels). Apply principles of ATP and integrate material for auto-generation

Manage and follow MRO process as company policy and procedures

Ensure the maintenance of storage areas in a clean and orderly condition; and ensure security of storage areas

Participate with the voucher log resolution process

Ensure the labeling of parts for tracking purposes and enter information into system

Ensure the storage of inventory: keep track of unused, slow moving, and excess stock

Lead continuous improvement efforts in the Inventory Management System (i.e.-barcoding, reorganization, 5S etc.) and requisition system

Participate in the Innophos site annual internal and external inventory audit. Responsible for managing cycle count process

Oversee and implement a full storeroom overhaul to bring inventory organization up to standard

Perform related duties as required

GED/High School Diploma
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or equivalent experience

5 or more years of warehouse/storeroom experience in an industrial environment
-
Computer literacy, specifically in warehouse/inventory systems, MS Office
-
Work is performed in both an office and warehouse environment
-
There are frequent physical demands associated with this position, including lifting (some heavy <50 lbs) and carrying items in and out of the warehouse

Balance is also required in activities involving stocking and rearranging warehouse shelves
