Stores and Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores and Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of materials and the efficient handling of store inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality products, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring smooth coordination between vendors, internal departments, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:Purchasing:

  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods.
  • Generate and process purchase orders based on stock requirements or departmental requests.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Coordinate with accounts for timely payment processing and with logistics for delivery follow-ups.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

Stores / Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
  • Maintain updated inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Issue materials as per requisitions and maintain proper documentation.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and physical verification.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.

General:

  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and other departments for material requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems related to purchase and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in stores and purchase operations, preferably in [manufacturing/construction/FMCG/etc.].
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and inventory control procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
