Location: Andheri

Department: Procurement & Contracting

Qual: Graduate and Diploma / PG in Materials management

Desirable: Graduate and Diploma / PG in Materials management

Experience: 4-6 years experience in hospital / healthcare sector

Job Purpose

Execute activities planned by Store Lead for category materials with respect to receipt, storage, issue and rejection to ensure zero stock outs and shortages at Andheri Unit. Carry out movement of disposable materials as planned Maintain Safety standards on job and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures.

Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Service
• Carry out day to day operations ensuring execution of planned jobs with strict adherence to the SOPs and meeting requirements of inventory levels and estimated delivery schedule
• Execute store operations to ensure availability of right material as per hospital requirements - receipt, inspection and usage decision
• Execute store operations to ensure availability of right material at right place - warehousing, binning & preservation
• Execute store operations to ensure availability of right material and right issue as per requirements ensuring reconciliation of job process materials and minimum variation between between physical & system stock
• Strive for reduction in cycle times and suggest improvement in store operations, storage, safety and housekeeping
• Monitor inventory management and ensure adherence to the safety stock levels as given by Site and Central Inventory Controller
• Provide input to find out Problem inventory of unused and obsolete items for stock transfer or liquidation
• Arrange timely collection and disposal of scrap and other materials as per the SOPs and the hospital schedule
• Optimize space utilization and execute plans to improve space utilization. Ensure compliance to stacking and storage norms
• Maintain safety standards, safe working conditions & good housekeeping environment in stores
• Provide inputs for various departmental MIS, QA / QC reports, and documentation
• Adhere to all departmental policies, SOPs, Health Safety & Environment policy and guidelines

• Participate in health programs of the hospital, outreach activities, or communities for prevention and treatment of injuries or illnesses.
• Ensure timely issue of the right materials to the internal customers as per their requirements to maximize their services
  
  

Quality

• Actively participate and be accountable for implementation of all quality programs to ensure continuous quality improvement in the department
• Ensure adherence to internationally accepted standards of care, including but not limited to those recommended by JCI, NABH and other quality systems
• Actively participate in infection control and prevention activities, campaigns, awareness sessions
• Participate in periodic QA/QC audits to check and ensure adherence to policies and protocols
• Constantly monitor Quality Reports and take immediate necessary action with vendors in case of quality issues and rejection of items.

• Ensure compliance to statutory / regulatory requirements and internal / external audits
  
  

People

• Provide on the job training to the team members
• Be available to provide coverage in case of absence of colleague due to sickness / leave within the constraints of the department
• Attend all the trainings organized by the department and the hospital
  
  

Innovation & Research

• Identify areas of process improvement & automation and recommend the same for implementation to HOD
• Participate in the research activities of the department / hospital
