Storyboard Artist (Animation)

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Storyboard Artist to visualize and translate our script into dynamic storyboards that effectively communicate the narrative, pacing, and emotional tone of our animation project. You’ll collaborate closely with the director, writers, and animators to ensure every frame serves the story and supports the project’s visual style.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret scripts, story outlines, or concepts into visual storytelling sequences.

• Create clear, engaging storyboards that convey camera angles, character movement, and scene transitions.

• Work collaboratively with the director and animation team to refine storytelling and pacing.

• Incorporate feedback to revise boards while maintaining artistic consistency and narrative flow.

• Prepare presentation-ready boards for animatics or client reviews.

• Proven experience as a Storyboard Artist in animation, film, or television.

• Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, composition, and timing.

• Excellent drawing and visual communication skills.

• Proficiency in digital art tools.

• Ability to take direction and work within established style guidelines.

• Strong understanding of animation production pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 2D or 3D animation workflows.
  Basic understanding of editing, sound, and timing for animatics.

• Knowledge of color, lighting, and design principles.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
