STP Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Engineer to manage the design, execution, and operations of wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in STP operations and design, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants (STPs).
• Design STP layouts, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment layout drawings using AutoCAD.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, and modification activities at project sites.
• Monitor daily plant performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, including those set by KSPCB/CPCB.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Provide technical guidance to plant operators and junior engineers.
• Conduct site inspections, preventive maintenance checks, and risk assessments.
• Analyze water and wastewater quality reports and optimize treatment processes accordingly.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in sewage treatment plant operations, maintenance, and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and technical drawing preparation is mandatory.
• Good understanding of STP process technologies (ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR, etc.).
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA-based systems is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of local and national wastewater discharge norms and regulations.
• Excellent communication, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,764.65 - ₹48,000.00 per month
