Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS) is a leading multi-channel marketing firm specializing in direct mail and digital campaigns. As we expand, we're looking for a Strategic Account Director to join our team working in this remote role. Position Summary

The Strategic Account Director (SAD) is the primary point of contact for clients, responsible for building strategic relationships and guiding them through integrated marketing initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor, the SAD works collaboratively with clients to maximize success across direct mail, digital, and other channels to craft data backed, omni-channel strategies that drive measurable results. This role utilizes a mix of strategic marketing, direct mail/digital expertise and client facing leadership to ensure campaigns are executed seamlessly from planning through optimization.

Essential Functions

  • Owns client relationships and marketing programs end-to-end, leveraging data-driven insights to recommend the right channel mix (direct mail, digital, email, social, SEO/SEM, programmatic, etc.) for growth.
  • In collaboration with Sales, develops and presents integrated campaign strategies that balance traditional and digital tactics based on client goals and performance trends.
  • Reviews campaign analytics across channels to interpret results, recommend optimizations, and demonstrate ROI.
  • Collaborates with internal account management, digital, creative, and production teams to align execution with strategic objectives.
  • Acts as a thought partner with clients, introducing emerging marketing trends and USPS promotions while also identifying digital and traditional opportunities that support direct mail performance.
  • Works closely with Account Managers to coordinate and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), connecting campaign data with business outcomes and providing proactive recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years' in strategic account management or marketing, with proven experience integrating digital channels into holistic marketing campaigns
  • Solid understanding of core digital tactics (SEO/SEM, paid social, programmatic, retargeting, email marketing, web optimization) and how they work with direct marketing efforts
  • Strong ability to interpret performance metrics across channels and make data-backed recommendations to clients
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics/GA4, CRM/automation tools)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence decision-making and build strong senior-level client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate positively across departments/organization
