Position Description: Job Summary
Advanced Navigation and Positioning Corporation (ANPC) is a global supplier of precision approach guidance and area surveillance solutions aimed at improving the safety and capacity of civil and military aviation for customers on all seven continents. Our transponder-based solutions are designed to serve airfields where others cannot. ANPC is seeking a highly visible Strategic Product Manager (SPM), reporting to the CEO, to serve as the primary external face and voice of the company's core product line. This role is centered on market engagement, customer partnership, and driving product strategy based on external insights. The SPM will be the essential industry liaison, attending conferences, managing partner relationships, and translating the critical voice of the customer directly into our strategic roadmap to ensure commercial success and financial alignment.

We are recruiting exclusively for candidates at our Hood River, Oregon headquarters. This role is not remote eligible.

Essential Job Functions
Act as the key liaison and spokesperson for our product line at industry conferences, trade shows and high-level customer briefings.
Lead continuous efforts to actively listen to and translate the voice of the customer and market feedback into clear, prioritized, and quantifiable market requirements.
Establish and maintain robust relationships with key aviation and defense associations. Track complex, emerging regulatory and policy changes (FAA, DoD) to guide strategic investment decisions.
Conduct continuous competitive analysis and market research to define product positioning, differentiation, effective value propositions, and successful commercial strategies.
Articulate a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap that balances long-term market opportunities with the companys overall financial and revenue objectives.
Develop comprehensive business cases, including detailed financial forecasting and return on investment analysis, to justify all product development investment.
Lead the process to translate market requirements and user needs into clear, prioritized user stories and manage the product backlog for maximum business impact.
Define pricing, positioning, and value propositions; then lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations) for successful product launch and full market lifecycle management.

Education and Work Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. Technical background preferred)
3+ years experience as a Product Manager focusing on market strategy, commercialization and customer discover in a complex or regulated industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to influence customers, partners, and C-level executives.
Demonstrated success in acting as an industry liaison, attending and contributing to standards bodies, or representing a product line publicly.
Proficiency in strategic planning, financial forecasting, ROI analysis, and risk mitigation related to market entry and product success.
Familiarity with aerospace industry market structure, regulatory policy, and the product lifecycle within a regulated sector.
Proven experience applying Agile methodologies in a requirements definition environment (focused on the "what" and "why").
Proven ability to build trust and rapport across all organizational levels, from the CEO to individual contributors, necessary to drive alignment and ensure execution.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills necessary to align disparate internal teams (Engineering, Sales) around the external market vision.
